Hello! I'm Doug
My love of acting began at a very young age and I generally live somewhere between reality and theatre. I have had the good fortune to work at some great theatres the past several years and as a result I have grown as a performer and also met some lifelong friends.
But it's really the audiences that I love the most. To have that chance to entertain is what keeps me coming back for more.
As always, thank you for supporting the arts and live theater!

I've always been a performer.
Some of my earliest memories are of putting on shows, playing guitar and singing or acting out skits for family at Christmas and summer gatherings. High school brought more shows and more roles, more learning and growing under the guidance of some extremely caring, talented and resourceful instructors.
Even though I took acting and stagecraft courses in college, show business wasn't my career path. Community theater brought the chance to meet and work with some extraordinarily talented people and experience every aspect of theater. Honing my craft not only on stage but also other valuable skills such as learning to work together with others as an ensemble. Learning the ropes, I guess. After a long career in education, a different kind of performing, which provided an opportunity for early retirement I decided to do the one thing I really always loved the most. I've been extremely fortunate to have art in my life for all my life.

GRUMPY OLD MEN The Musical
-
CIRCA 21 DINNER PLAYHOUSE
MARCH 17 - MAY 6
GRUMPY OLD MEN is the story of two aging men, Max and John, neighbors who have been feuding for most of their lives. Invigorated by their shared affection for their new neighbor across the street, the beautiful, eccentric, and charming Ariel, they face-off as romantic rivals until their hilarious shenanigans finally bring about a resolution to their long-standing differences. Based on the 1993 film, which starred Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and Ann-Margret, this stage adaptation captures the lovably crotchety characters through twinkling humor, great songs, and the affectionate depiction of a small town that feels like home to everyone.
